In addition, I cannot get Merlin (G:) to appear in the boot manager menu. FDISK takes it OK. ie "add to boot manager menu" is accepted as is "set installable." I then installed OS/2 2.1 in a 200MB partition formatted as HPFS, and the Boot Manager in a 1MB partition at the end of the disk. I verified that OS/2 was working I would get past the "Last Known Good" message, then I get a message that NT cannot start because the file 'ntoskrnl.exe' is missing or corrupt.

At the initial boot , the Openstep 4.2 Mach Intel boot manager normally asks N for NeXT , D for DOS however it boots directly into Openstep 4.2 with out offering the choice N or D to boot into Windows 98 question. Use /usr/etc/disk -B with one of /usr/standalone/i386/boot0 or boot1 (I forget which is which).

So far, I have researched the issue, but the only thing I saw was related to the WindowsXP boot manager and such. In the thought that the suggested may work, I booted from CD to the command prompt in repair mode. I copied the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM from the installation media to the root directory. Same error.
